The East Bay Brass Band was formed in the summer of 2011 to create an ensemble that transcends artists and genres and speaks to the human inside. This ensemble has since grown to approximately 10 members, including such rarities as two baritone saxophones, a contrabass clarinet, bass flute, and electric sousaphone.
East Bay Brass Band is a rock mashup band with heavy New Orleans influence. Our music ranges from traditional dixieland to artists like AC/DC, the Black Keys, and the Violent Femmes. In fact, their flagship song, "Blister Saints" is a mashup of "When the Saints Go Marching In"; "Blister in the Sun" and "Add it Up" (by the Violent Femmes), "I Want You Back" (by the Jackson 5) and "Manamana" (by the Muppet Show). All members contribute new material, providing a wide variety of styles and sounds. The East Bay Brass Band is committed to providing the highest quality music.
